I have been using this line of products (including Curly Q Shampoo, Conditioner, and Moisturizer) on my daughter’s hair for about 2 years now (she is half african and half white). I originally tried the Blended Bueaty children’s product line, but it was too heavy and the scent was too strong. When she was a toddler, I used the Curly Q Milkshake as her leave in conditioner. As she got a bit older, I switched to the this for right after bathtime and Curly Q Milkshake for any morning before the next bath (if I use Custard everyday her curls start to look stringy and we usually do a bath every other day). I love how it controls the frizz, while allowing her curls to look natural and soft.

I’ve had bad dandruff for years. I mean, bad to the point where it’s in my car, all over my home, my workdesk, my laptop. It’s kind of disgusting, and looks pretty bad when I wore dark clothes. Well, one day, I noticed a local grocery was closing out some generic low-percentage coal tar shampoos. Some of the 0.5% stuff, which I remember as being one of the older remedies that the folks had talked about. I decided to give it a try, since the bottles were going for a buck. Nothing really to lose. Well, within two weeks, I noticed a marked difference in the amount of dandruff I was shedding, and most of the itch and redness on my scalp had gone.

I investigated, found that it was near impossible to get the stronger stuff anymore due to some goofball’s lawsuit, but that it was indeed still available, right here. The lawsuit was related to the stuff being considered a carcinogen in California. Yeah, kids, it’s made from tar. Don’t drink it.

After about a month and a half of using this stuff (about 7/8th of one bottle) I’m happy to say my dandruff is, as far as I am concerned, 100% gone. No more shedding, no more blowing crap out of my laptop, and no more cleaning the car every other day. I’m simply amazed. My scalp doesn’t itch. I can wear dark shirts now. This stuff even cleared up some redness on my neck that I’ve had with the dandruff (and the doctors think was related.) I’m going to try and start cutting back on use, down to maybe every 3-5 days and see what happens. I don’t think I can stop using it, but I can cut back.

So, in short, this stuff is amazing, is worth every penny, and will last you for probably 5-6 months if you use it sparingly. If you have severe dandruff, I highly recommend you read about how this stuff works, the minor side effects it can have, and get some. It works!

If you have very dry hair, get a good conditioner to pair with it.

Pros:
Highest coal-tar percentage from a retail product.
Don’t need much per application.
Worked for me within a few weeks.

Cons:
Can smell like creosote.
Makes gray hair darker.
May increase your sensitivity to sunlight.

I have had a terrible time with my hair. In the days of bigger hair, I would try over and over to get perms in my hair just to let people know it was there. Honestly- my hair did not look like much no matter WHAT I did.

VS (Vidal Sassoon) used to have the best products on the market for baby fine hair in the VS line, but no advertising and really lousy promotional efforts led them to pull their stuff from the market just as many women I knew were discovering the miracles of what that stuff could do for hair.

I was running out of my VS stuff and very desperate to find something that would help my thin hair look amazing.

I tested tons of different hairsprays, but when I tried Fekkai from a tester in a store, I was shocked at what it did for my hair. A combination of TIGI BEDHEAD FOXY CURLS shampoo, mousse and Fekkai hairspray will give me such completely different hair that I can not even believe it is my hair. I end up with such thick curly hair that it looks better than it ever did with perms.

The amazing stuff about this hairspray is that with wet hands, I can reform my hair in the morning and it looks good as new for UP TO THREE DAYS!!!

I was stuck overnight without any hair products at all and I was so frustrated, until I remembered that I had used Fekkai hairspray on my hair the day before. I just wet my hands and shaped my hair and it looked good as new! It looks totally natural, soft, bouncy, and the fragrance is intoxicating too.

I even had to add a sprtiz to my husband’s hair one day due to really horrible flatness that he did not have time to fix. WOW – even he remarked that it did wonders to his more coarse wavy hair- and held for a few days too. m

This stuff is WAY over the top expensive, but honestly, what it does for me is so amazing that I want to keep buying it. I have never encountered a hairspray quite like this- it does not dry out my hair either, and it does take a bit of coaxing to wash out in the shower, but it comes out pretty easily.

I can not rave enough about Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray.

I had this done in a salon first back in January. This lasted for about 3.5 months. I loved my hair! I have Thick hair & unruly curls, so this is that miracle I needed. My hair did not fall out. I saw a reivew that said this happened… Don’t know how, but, I still have all my hair! In fact, I wear my hair down more often now, and before this treatment, my hair used to fall out too much, so this has helped keep my hair.
I have stuck with using sodium-chorlide free shampoo. I use the Coppola shampoo because that’s what I have left over from the salon. Per the sylist, the shampoo matters what’s in it, the conditioner, not so much. I think the Coppola shampoo (&conditioner) really makes my scalp extra dry, So I try to use a different, extra moisturizing conditioner. The good news with this product, you do not have to used as much sampoo & conditioner.

The first time I used this product, I loved the way it smelled but I was not a fan of the way my hair looked. It was a frizzy mess. But, after hearing so many good things about the product, I decided to keep using the product to see if it got any better.

After a couple of days using the cream, my curls were taking better shape and holding up throughout the day. It’s no miracle cream though. While it smells great, isn’t sticky, and leaves your hair feeling super soft… it won’t tame *all* of your frizz. To be honest, I’ve never found one product that would tame my frizz on a high humidity day, so that’s not the worst thing I can say about a hair product.

What I will tell you, that you might not find out from any other source, is that I tend to try new things out with my products. I use this stuff even on days when I straighten my hair because it smells so good and it seems to leave my hair softer and easier to straighten with the blow dryer… plus, my hair always seems to have more volume and just look better. (Keep in mind, this is one person’s opinion.)

If you’re looking for a product that smells good, leaves your hair feeling great and has some decent frizz reduction properties, this is a great one to go with. If you’re looking for perfectly frizzless hair, I don’t have any idea what you can use…
